RoC Final Publication News!

The publishing process is wrapping up for Realm of Chaos! At this time, we’re just waiting for the LCCN approval. It should just take a few more days. After that, the files will be finalized and the book will go live in waves like it did last year.

Selecting a specific publication date last year turned out to be quite the process (and I made a little mess), so this year it’s just going to come out as soon as it’s ready. And it’s almost ready!

So, what’s about to happen?

  1. In the next few days, likely by Monday, the LCCN (Library of Congress Control Number) will be approved and added to the copyright page in the final, designed book.
  2. The book will undergo a final design QA (quality assurance review), and the final, high resolution files will be uploaded to their system.
  3. The book will go live on the AuthorHouse website, likely sometime next week.
  4. The book will go live on Amazon, likely a few days after that.
  5. The book will go live on Barnes & Noble online shortly after.
  6. The ebook version will be available on all platforms, typically within a week of initial publication.
  7. Independent bookstores will be able to add the book to their collection once all versions are live in all publisher-affiliated systems.
  8. It will also be available in the same libraries as Ranger’s Odyssey within the next few months (and that includes three new libraries Ranger’s Odyssey is about to be added to—in Michigan, North Carolina, and Tennessee!).

As with last year, as the book becomes available in these places (all the ones I’m aware of), I will be announcing it on the Tales of Ambergrove Facebook page and updating the Realm of Chaos page with the links. Keep an eye out for its release sometime next week!

For now, here’s a teaser of the low resolution hardcover!

Images fuzzy and white outline stark due to low resolution. Not final cover.

I also have big, big news about Wheel of Fate—and other upcoming books—but that should wait a few months until I am absolutely sure it’s going to work. I’m still having issues with my wrist that are causing delays in working on WoF, and a current adorable obstacle is also shortening my potential working time, but I think I’ve figured out a good way to get things moving again.

The adorable obstacle? A new addition to the Martineau family! Her name is Rune, and she’s a monster. I mean, just look at that monster face.

Anyway, I’m off to prep some things for continued work on WoF before the monster comes inside. Keep an eye out for the RoC release very soon! I am so beyond excited for you to read this one. (I’m sure I’ll say that every time.) I had a big moment planned for this book before I had written half of Ranger’s Odyssey, and it has been killing me to keep it quiet for so long! I hope you enjoy this installment in Mara’s journey and are excited to come back for the final piece of her story in Wheel of Fate next year!

Until next time, adventurers!
