October 5, 2024: MCPL Author Fair

Morgan County Public Library–Monrovia Branch is hosting another author fair! The event has expanded so much that they now have an application process! That tells you how much you want to come out and see us! It has been MOVED from Monrovia Branch to Martinsville Branch. There will be dozens of authors there to represent a variety of genres, and there may be additional events! Visit the library site or reach out to the Monrovia Public Library for more information!

September 28–29, 2024: Clayshire Castle Medieval Faire

This is Tales of Ambergrove’s first year here! The Medieval Faire at Clayshire Castle focuses on the Wars of the Roses with many themed events over the weekend. They hold very true to the medieval themes, and stepping onto the grounds feels like stepping back in time. There will be many vendors and shows, an archery competition, and a working blacksmith! If all goes to plan, we will be set up next to the blacksmith. Our full-size booth will include the Dragonwolf trilogy and companion book, the first two Hammer and Flame books (Ember in the Forge and Ember on the Anvil), companion board game, cover art prints, audiobooks, keychains, necklaces, coasters, and medallions on one side. On the other side, we will have an additional table where players can complete the Paeor’s Game campaign of the Dawn of the Dragonwolf D&D session series. ORF Fantasy Weekend once again! Ohio Renaissance Festival (ORF) is a permanent-location festival that runs through September and October with themed weekends. There’s jousting, Kamikaze Fireflies, The Swordsmen, and The Mudde Show (in the Theatre in the Ground), and Cincinnati Barbarians (in Whimsy Woods, a new area added last year!), among so many absolutely wonderful shops, music, games, tasty food, and more! Check out all ORF has to offer here. If you’d like to attend the festival, but you aren’t sure when, come check it out fantasy weekend!

This year, we’ll be at Ohio Renaissance Festival (ORF) for back-to-back weekends! April 20, 2024: Lawrenceburg Public Library Author Fair

Spring 2024 debuts Lawrenceburg Public Library’s first author fair. Author H. T. Martineau and cover artist Heidi Thompson will be attending. All books will be available, as well as cover art prints, pins, and other small items.

Ohio Renaissance Festival (ORF) is a permanent-location festival that runs through September and October with themed weekends. There’s jousting, Kamikaze Fireflies, The Swordsmen, and The Mudde Show (in the Theatre in the Ground), among so many absolutely wonderful shops, music, games, tasty food, and more! On October 28 and 29, author H. T. Martineau will have a table set up at ORF with the Dragonwolf trilogy and companion book, companion board game, cover art prints, audiobooks, keychains, necklaces, and coasters. an additional table where players can complete the Paeor’s Game campaign of the Dawn of the Dragonwolf D&D session series. Additionally, the first book in the Hammer and Flame trilogy, Ember in the Forge, debuts at this event weekend!

June and July 2023: MCPL Summer Reading Events

This summer, I will be working with the librarians at Monrovia’s library to put on two activities/events for the summer reading program. These will be June 15 and July 27 for the youth summer reading program.

May 6, 2023: Building Your (Cover) Blurb

For the local writer’s group: A one-hour workshop on creating cover text that best showcases your book, including excerpts, endorsements, your author biography, and, of course, the book blurb.

April 17–24, 2023: Scotland!

Scotland event scheduling for April 2023 is in progress! I will be in Scotland for a little over a week at the end of April. I have already shipped copies of the books over for addition to public and school libraries, and I’ll be finalizing my other supplies and schedule soon!

Currently in the books:

  • 19 April: Orb’s Community Bookshop, Huntly, Aberdeenshire.
    • 2:00pm to about 3:00pm (14:00 to 15:00), intended for anyone in the area who can pop in at that time.
    • 4:00pm to 5:00pm (16:00 to 17:00), intended primarily for students who will be just leaving school for the day.

March 2, 2023: Editing for Non-editors

For the local writer’s group: A one-hour workshop on preparing your manuscript for an editor, including making Word your friend, formatting fixes, and a checklist for your draft to help your manuscript stand out to an editor or agent.

December 3, 2022: Book Signing

Join us for a signing event in a magical place as you make your final purchases for the holiday season! On December 3, I will be setup at Fables & Fairy Tales Bookshop in Martinsville, Indiana. We will be selling paperback copies of the full trilogy, I will have maps and bookmarks, you can take pictures with a real shield and a replica of Mara’s Dragonwolf axe (!), I’ll have little themed trinkets, a couple games, and I will have all three cover art prints on display and available for purchase. The cover artist will be there signing books with me (pending weather), and we’ll be happy to take questions and chat about the books. We will also have a raffle! Details below. F&F is nestled right by the courthouse in Martinsville. Come early for good parking or park further down the street and check out some of the other cool shops the square has to offer! October 1, 2022: Author Fair

Come out to the library October 1 for a book signing, maps, collectible bookmarks (available only at libraries!), and photo ops with a real shield and a replica of Mara’s Dragonwolf axe. June 23, 2022: Author Talk and Book Launch

Wheel of Fate is set to be available for purchase June 23! That evening, I (the author) will be at Morgenstern’s to talk about the series as a whole, answer questions, sign books, and Morgenstern’s will be selling the full series! I’ll be set up at the conference table at the back of the store, and I’ll have some cool props and the original artwork for Wheel of Fate with me. Save the Facebook event here.

November 27, 2021: Author Fair

MCPL is hosting an Author Fair for Small Business Saturday, and I will have a table set up there! I will have a few dozen paperbacks of the first edition of Ranger’s Odyssey, a few hardbacks and a few paperbacks of Realm of Chaos, and bookmarks for both. I will be selling and signing copies during the event, and I’ll also answer questions about the books! I hope to see some adventurers there! Save the Facebook event here.
