It has been nearly two years since Finn sailed from the Great Serpent to aid Mara in her Ranger trial. He could not have known that his journey would take him to the forbidden lands, to face the Great Harbinger of chaos and her minions who bore weapons he had never seen and instilled a terror he had never before felt. He’d been so unlike a sea elf in those months that he had been maimed as permanent proof.
Now, as he returns to his home, he does so with a purpose. He is forever changed by his experiences, and he will no longer stand by as his mother, Queen Ula, does wrong by his people. But, as he sails Harrgalti north, visits the people of Nimeda, and once again sets his sights on that cluster of islands, he realizes he must decide who his people really are and who he wants to be. That decision will challenge everything he’s ever known and fuel the wind in his sails as he charts the course of his own destiny.
Brave Finn is no longer a sea elf, but only his own journey, the intervention of the gods, and the support of likeminded individuals all over Ambergrove will show him who and what he is—and perhaps allow him to rebuild more than just his own life in the process.
